Chickpea Casserole

These are chckpeas. Apart from making some people fart, they taste great.Garbanzos, or chickpeas, are commonly used in many Mediterranean countries to make hearty and filling casseroles. This one is something I dreamt up when my ex-wife had soaked & cooked chickpeas for houmous but we were missing some of the ingredients. Great for vegetarians, or if you're not then you could add some bacon or ham for extra meaty goodness.

Chickpeas sometimes taste slightly sulphurous. Maybe this is this the reason that they make some people fart like rotten eggs. If this is you, heaven help the people around you. Still, they taste great.

The Recipe

Put all the ingredients in a casserole dish, mix, cover and place in the centre of a pre-heated oven at 180C for an hour.
